STATE OF PALESTINE - Zionists’ Unethical Land Grab of 1948

GAZA STRIP & WEST BANK, Palestine

Purpose: Zionists’ Unethical Land Grab of 1948

Start Date: June, 2014

Funding Level: $25,000

Lives Directly Impacted: 445

SUMMARY

Inti Raymi Fund visited Gaza Strip and the West Bank and provided financial support to 445 Indigenous Palestinian women during the 50 day bombardment by Israel in 2014. The timing of our visit was precarious as it was during one of their most holy periods of the Muslim faith – Ramadan yet during the renewed attacks by Israel. Due to the simultaneous timing of these two events, all of the women surveyed (all 445), preferred to take a “cash distribution” in lieu of a pooling the funds into a community project. These funds were used for sustainability and to provide celebration meals upon sunset for their large & extended families for Ramadan.

FIRST-HAND PERSONAL VISIT AND WITNESS TO THE APARTHEID IN GAZA & WEST BANK

The Israel/Palestine conflict is one we all frequently hear in the news.  It is a complicated issue that began with the Zionists’ planning for statehood well before World War I in collaboration with the United States, United Kingdom and the League of Nations (now known as the United Nations).  Logistics, military and financial help in 1948 created the Jewish State that today we know as Israel.  It has created chaos, hatred and warfare in that part of the world ever since.  But who is right and who is wrong?  That depends on your point of view and your timeline.

Inti Raymi Fund decided to visit the Gaza Strip and West Bank because of their urgent need for humanitarian aid.  We had one of the most life changing experiences as we saw the true consequences of all this discord.  Prior to entering Gaza Strip, Inti Raymi Fund had to receive formal written permission from the Israeli Department of Defense and by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (“UNRWA”).  The Gaza Strip is completely “locked down and fenced in” essentially the “worlds largest open air prison”. It has identical conditions of a maximum security prison at border crossings. No one in or out without a very, very special reason and the Israeli government’s approval.  An approximate 700 km concrete wall, roughly 10 meters tall separates the Palestinians from Israelis in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.  The physical apartheid of Gaza does not allow any trade to pass through their gates, thus choking off all economic activity and life itself.  All we can say is that in our opinion, the conditions are Inhumane, Apartheid and Genocidal.

The Inti Raymi Fund was founded to assist people in need.  The goal is not to judge, but to respect the basic human rights of all people.  After traveling to over 80 countries, this encampment in Gaza Strip was something we were not prepared to see.  This revalation is why we urge you to get better information and decide for yourself.  The Inti Raymi Fund fights for the Dignity in all humans, regardless of race, religion or country.   We warn you, some of the videos and photographs in this particular page are graphic; we apologize if the content might be offensive to some but we show the truth.

THE INTI RAYMI FUND’S INVOLVEMENT

Article 3 & 4 of the United Nations Declaration for the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (“UNDRIP”), allows Indigenous Peoples the right to self-determination on all governing and economic affairs.  In the spirit of this declaration, we visited with 435 women in five different locations within Gaza, these women had an affiliation with the Sunbula Weavers Group and the UN agency of UNRWA.  We asked them, “What do you need?” and “How can we help you?”  We discussed a myriad of self-help projects to be collectively arranged and shared such as new sewing equipment, new computers, vehicles for the delivery of goods or raw materials, E-commerce setup and training, etc.  After all the options were discussed, but unfortunately due to the economic embargo imposed and the “100% lock-down” by the Israeli Zionists Government on the Gaza Strip, the overwhelming response from the women we visited with was “ we need cash in hand”.  These women did not have the ability to look one year, one month, or even one week ahead, they urgently needed to feed their children and families.  For us, this was desperate and heart wrenching.  Furthering their need was the fact that Ramadan, one of the Muslims’ most holy holidays was only 48 hours away.  During this special holiday, faithful Muslims are not allowed to eat or drink during daylight hours in the August heat; however, upon the Imams’ (leader) calling off of the fast each evening after sunset, families gather  and celebrate with food, drink and prayer.

As requested, the Inti Raymi Fund proceeded to distribute our $25,000 gift evenly among the 435 community members across five locations for the greater part of the day.

Ironically, these women were insightful and instinctive because that evening was the beginning of the Israeli bombardment of Gaza the “50 Day Conflict of 2014” with 11 of the first missiles and air strikes occurring in Gaza while we were there.  For all involved in this project, the desperate hopelessness of these Palestinian People was just too much to bear.

Sadly by design of the Israel government, there is no direct way to lend financial support to Palestinian women in Gaza. You can help by supporting the Sunbula Weavers Organization which train women through fair trade businesses in support of their livelihoods.  The Palestinians are not allowed access to the outside world and the business markets beyond their 30′ tall cement walled cage, imposed by the Zionist leaders of Israel.

OUR STORY REVEALED – CROSSING THE BORDER WAS A REAL TRIP!

The Inti Raymi Fund arrived at the Israeli Border crossing, presented passports and necessary Israeli approval papers then proceeded through the labyrinth of electronically controlled security metal doors, with surveillance cameras all resembling the highest security prison as seen on TV.  Upon leaving the Israel checkpoint, I walked roughly one half mile through another maze of tight cattle-cage corridors into the Gaza side of the checkpoint (“a demilitarization zone”).  Here I waited for my UN escort bullet proof Land Cruiser which drove me through the demilitarization zone to the Gaza government checkpoint.  Upon arrival at the Gaza checkpoint, my belongings were searched for weapons or other disallowed contraband.  Quickly, the security officer noticed a large bulge in my vest and suspected a possible bomb vest.  Upon questioning, I revealed I had brought cash to help the women of the Palestinian Sunbala weavers, as well as two other projects in the Middle East.

It didn’t take long for about twelve military personnel, to approach the search table trying to figure out who I was and what I was doing there with $75,000 cash entering Gaza.  Long story short, after about one hour of discussions, the twelve men and I ended up in their back living room having a pleasant conversation over Arabic coffee.  Once they realized I was neither a Israeli spy, nor an enemy to the State of Palestine, I was free to go work on our projects in Gaza.  They gave me back all of our Project cash and told me “God bless you, thank you for coming to help our people”.  Later that evening, I was informed that this checkpoint was controlled by the organization called Hamas, which the US labels a terrorist organization.  Please consider, just because the USA easily “slaps a label” on an organization doesn’t make it so.  If you dig a little deeper, usually you will find that the labeled organization is only “in opposition to a USA agenda in that country tied to the USA’s interest in their extractive industries or other resources”.  Hamas treated me very respectfully and kind.  Through additional research and conversations on the inside Gaza, I found out that Hamas is regarded very differently, similar to a political organization like the USA’s Democratic or Republican parties.  As a westerner, after seeing the people within, this experience taught me to look closer and not always believe the news from “our American journalism channels” or other western outlets and to question the ownership of these media outlets with their editing and control over their narratives and materials released.

In an effort to better understand the world we live in, we must gather a variety of points of view, from various global & ethnic perspectives; provided below are a few links with alternative viewpoints other than the usual Israeli or USA side of the Middle East Conflict. These views are not necessarily shared by the Inti Raymi Fund:

If you are unable or unwilling to visit the Gaza and the West Bank yourself to make your own conclusions, may we suggest a highly supported book with 50% volume of footnotes by Alison Weir called Against our better judgment.  You may want to visit her overwhelmingly detailed web site called If Americans Knew (linked below), where she lays out all of the evidence and support for the narrative assertions herein.   We ask you to consider reading this with an open mind and check the footnotes and support for yourself.  Often, changing one’s long believed narratives especially as it relates to a religious issue is a hard truth to accept.

GENOCIDE DEFINED BELOW:

The crime of genocide is defined in international law in the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide.

“Article II: In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Article III: The following acts shall be punishable:

(a) Genocide;

(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;

(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;

(d) Attempt to commit genocide;

(e) Complicity in genocide.

The Genocide Convention was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 9 December 1948. The Convention entered into force on 12 January 1951. More than 130 nations have ratified the Genocide Convention and over 70 nations have made provisions for the punishment of genocide in domestic criminal law. The text of Article II of the Genocide Convention was included as a crime in Article 6 of the 1998 Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

PUNISHIBLE ACTS:

The following are genocidal acts when committed as part of a policy to destroy a group’s existence:

Killing members of the group includes direct killing and actions causing death.

Causing serious bodily or mental harm includes inflicting trauma on members of the group through widespread torture, rape, sexual violence, forced or coerced use of drugs, and mutilation.

Deliberately inflicting conditions of life calculated to destroy a group includes the deliberate deprivation of resources needed for the group’s physical survival, such as clean water, food, clothing, shelter or medical services. Deprivation of the means to sustain life can be imposed through confiscation of harvests, blockade of foodstuffs, detention in camps, forcible relocation or expulsion into deserts.

Prevention of births includes involuntary sterilization, forced abortion, prohibition of marriage, and long-term separation of men and women intended to prevent procreation.

Forcible transfer of children may be imposed by direct force or by through fear of violence, duress, detention, psychological oppression or other methods of coercion. The Convention on the Rights of the Child defines children as persons under the age of 14 years.

Genocidal acts need not kill or cause the death of members of a group. Causing serious bodily or mental harm, prevention of births and transfer of children are acts of genocide when committed as part of a policy to destroy a group’s existence:

It is a crime to plan or incite genocide, even before killing starts, and to aid or abet genocide: Criminal acts include conspiracy, direct and public incitement, attempts to commit genocide, and complicity in genocide.

KEY TERMS:

The crime of genocide has two elements: intent and action. “Intentional” means purposeful. Intent can be proven directly from statements or orders. But more often, it must be inferred from a systematic pattern of coordinated acts.

Intent is different from motive. Whatever may be the motive for the crime (land expropriation, national security, territorial integrity, etc.,) if the perpetrators commit acts intended to destroy a group, even part of a group, it is genocide.

The phrase “in whole or in part” is important. Perpetrators need not intend to destroy the entire group. Destruction of only part of a group (such as its educated members, or members living in one region) is also genocide. Most authorities require intent to destroy a substantial number of group members — mass murder. But an individual criminal may be guilty of genocide even if he kills only one person, so long as he knew he was participating in a larger plan to destroy the group.

The law protects four groups – national, ethnical, racial or religious groups.

A national group means a set of individuals whose identity is defined by a common country of nationality or national origin.

An ethnical group is a set of individuals whose identity is defined by common cultural traditions, language or heritage.

A racial group means a set of individuals whose identity is defined by physical characteristics.

A religious group is a set of individuals whose identity is defined by common religious creeds, beliefs, doctrines, practices, or rituals.

Please consider watching on YouTube, a March 2016 secretly recorded footage of Israeli troops doing what they call  “Confirming the Kill” on an incapacitated Palestinian already unconscious in the street. Notice the supreme care of the Israeli soldier being loaded into the ambulance with only a minor flesh wound, compared with the atrocious barbaric indifference towards the severely wounded and suffering Palestinian laying on the ground, then the continued indifference after the blatant assassination.
