YEMEN WAR - Cholera & Famine Disaster Relief through CARE International

SANAA, Yemen

Purpose: Cholera & Famine Disaster Relief through CARE International

Start Date: August, 2017

Funding Level: $25,000

Lives Directly Impacted: 500

SUMMARY

Inti Raymi Fund provided financial support directly into the US based non-profit of CARE International for the specific and sole use to benefit the war victims in Yemen. These funds specifically are being use to truck fresh water and food supplies into areas where water supplies are affected by Cholera. Funds also are being used to treat affected victims of Cholera. Unlike our other projects, we were unable to visit this project in person at this time due to the continued air and drone bombardments in this Proxy War in Yemen, so our friends at CARE International helped us facilitate our goals to help while Yemen is in such crisis.(All images by others)

The Inti Raymi Fund recently contributed $25,000 into the CARE International non-profit organization. Due to the extremely dangerous nature of the continuous bombardments by Saudi and USA air forces coupled with drone strikes, it simply was not possible for the Inti Raymi Fund to personally visit at this time. Additionally, all air, sea and land ports have been closed by Saudi & USA blockages, making it literally impossible to enter. Due to this restrictive situation, we elected to still “do something” given the enormous war and humanitarian death tole. The collateral damage of this ongoing proxy war with Iran is causing a huge humanitarian crisis due to the lack of food, clean water, shelter. Now the innocent Yemeni Peoples are suffering from the worlds largest Cholera epidemic from their lack of sanitation and clean drinking water. This humanitarian disaster is causing roughly 130 death per day as of November 2017.  This man made human disaster is disgusting and is inexcusable.

Rather than sitting back and waiting until the war subsides so we could enter and then help, we opted to immediately fund the well respected war disaster relief organization of CARE Int’l where we have personal relationships with people within this organization. We know with confidence that all of our contribution will “finesse” it’s way through the insidious underground system into Yemen to help alleviate the suffering for as many people as possible.

If you are interested in supporting this important war disaster relief effort and dont know how, we encourage you to visit the CARE International web site for Yemen at the link below:

The Inti Raymi Fund was inspired by the Aljazeera article attached, and decide to act with a donation into CARE International for the Yemeni People.

The Inti Raymi Fund has not visited Yemen yet for this project. All photos by others. GPS pin was placed in city center mosque because funds were distributed throughout Sana’a Communities by CARE International.
