MT. EVEREST “CLIMB FOR YOUR CAUSE” FUNDRAISER

The dictionary’s definition of the word “philanthropy” is: “the effort or inclination to increase the well-being of mankind, as by charitable aid or donations”.  Caring for the public good and demonstrating and awareness of our obligation to our fellow man, disregarding every barrier, decidedly benefits the giver as much as the recipient. The truth is that every single one of us can make the world a better place, no matter how small or big the act of kindness is. For this reason, Chimu, an Austin, Texas native and philanthropist, has founded the Inti Raymi Fund.

WHY CLIMB MOUNT EVEREST?

“Because you don’t know if you can, unless you try”.  Why donate to your favorite cause through the Inti Raymi Fund? To show your support of charitable giving, to climb along with him and lend your voice to this cause.

Chimu is climbing Mt. Everest in May 2015 to bring attention to the benefits of charitable giving. By attracting focus onto those philanthropies to which he, himself, has given his financial support, he hopes to stimulate public awareness of our global responsibilities. Our goal is to raise $250,000 in donations for the non-profit community. Chimu has personally matched over $50,000 of the first $50,000 donated.

Follow Chimu’s exciting climb starting April 1, 2015 and follow his trek up Mt. Everest on a day to day basis. This is a chance come along with us, chart his progress and see Mt. Everest from a personal point of view. It’s not a scripted “reality” TV show, it’s a real climb as it is happening.

THE MISSION

Our mission is to spread awareness of sharing by introducing you to the funds’ diverse and growing global portfolio of projects, which we have given our support and to encourage you to choose your own cause.  When you donate to your favorite charity, this includes Inti Raymi Fund, and share your donation receipt with us, you are also lending your voice to the actual act of SHARING, and giving a bit of yourself for the benefit of others.  Your donation amount will be added towards the $250,000 goal for the event.  Help us move the thermometer!

The linked logos for non-profits is listed below for your consideration. This is obviously a partial list of the many worthy causes you can choose from; we merely supplied this “brainstorming” list, but you can choose any non-profit organization. This can be your hospital, your local animal shelter, your local women’s shelter…anything worthy of support.

HOW DO I SHOW MY AWESOME SUPPORT?

1) Simply make a donation into any special non-profit cause, then send your receipt from your donation via email to the Inti Raymi Fund at donations@intiraymifund.org.  Be sure to put “EVEREST” in the special notes of your donation. All donations will be immediately posted to our website for your viewing.

2) If you wish to remain anonymous, or are giving in another person’s name, we will be happy to post with you initials only or with any name you wish, just let us know in the special notes section.

* If you have any questions whatsoever, please contact Chimu at info@intiraymifund.org.
